As a relatively new member of Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, currently sitting on 3 years on-call, my list of operational experiences cannot compare to that of some of my colleagues and piers, however the constant never knowing what is round the corner and ensuring a positive approach to all aspects of life is one I’m sure I do share.
The chance to take part in LEJOG is certainly a ‘’bucket list’’ challenge I will be able to tick off and will push both my physical and mental resilience to the max, whilst helping to support and raise the profile of The Firefighters Charity.
Having been a keen cyclist for many years now, my cycling journeys have taken me to some glorious sites and surroundings in both the UK and abroad for both personal and charitable benefit.
I feel honoured to be part of this amazing event with an equally formidable group of like-minded individuals that make up our team and look forward to the road ahead.
Ale, Ale, Ale!!
