Jaime Cryer

I joined Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service in 2003 after spending 11 years as a truck driver.
Being a Firefighter is one of the best jobs in the world and no 2 days are ever the same. Most days we laugh but there are the few occasions when we cry.
You would be amazed at what you can cry about! So, raising awareness of mental health issues is very important as there are many who suffer in silence,

In the past I have raised money for various local Hospices and the Firefighters Charity.
My fundraising efforts have been taking part in the London Night Rider (3 times) and a couple of ultra-marathons, so I’m not shy of a challenge or 2.

After competing in the London to Cambridge 100km ultra marathon in 2015 I said I’d never ever do another one of those again.  In 2017 I did another 100km from Bath to Cheltenham.

It’s about time I did another challenge and Lands’ End to John O’Groats is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
No better way to do it than doing it with my firefighter family.
