I hope you are safe and well.
I am writing to let you know that in light of the current Covid-19 situation, we as a team have taken the decision to postpone our charity ride until next year. It probably comes as no surprise, but our planning and preparation for the task has been made difficult by these circumstances and it was felt that if we could postpone, reflect and restart, we would be in a much better position to do justice to our chosen cause.
We are still fully committed to the challenge and when circumstances allow, we will pick up where we left off. The team are still working hard to maintain their fitness and look forward to being able to come together to regroup and refocus.
We would like to thank you again for your support so far and reassure you of our passion to raise awareness of mental health issues and to raise as much money as we can for the Firefighters charity. For now, our fund-raising events are also postponed but we will look to rebook them as soon as we are able.
If you would like to speak to us about any aspect of the challenge, then please get in touch. We will of course release updates and communications as things progress and we start to regain momentum. We would be more than happy to chat.
Thank you very much again, we hope our next communication has a brighter look forward and we can start working towards our original goal.
